Fill every empty cell so no digit repeats in a row, a column or a box.
- Tap an empty cell and choose a digit from 1 to 6.The digits that came printed on the grid are fixed, and you can never write over one.
- Clear a cell and try a different digit whenever you change your mind.Nothing is marked right or wrong while you play, so a wrong digit costs you nothing until you finish.
- Fill all thirty-six cells to finish.There is only ever one answer, and the clock is your score.

What the words mean
- Box:
- one of the six heavy-outlined blocks, three cells across and two down. Each holds 1 to 6 once, the same as a row does
- Given:
- a number that came printed on the grid. You cannot change it, and you never need to
- Naked single:
- a cell where only one digit can possibly fit, because the other five are already in its row, column or box
- Hidden single:
- a digit with only one place left in a row, column or box, even though that cell looks like it could take other digits too
- Past the singles:
- neither of the two above cracks it open on its own, so you will need to hold two possibilities in mind at once
- Par:
- a good time for today's grid, not a great one. Beating it puts you well up the table
