Spillbox
Score as many points as you can in two minutes by finding words in the box. Long words are worth far more.
- Tap a letter, then tap one next to it, and keep going.Touching means touching on any side or corner. There is no swiping: every letter is its own tap, so this plays the same on a keyboard.
- Send the word once it is at least 3 letters long.A word you have already found will not count twice, and a word we do not hold is refused with a sentence saying so.
- Go long before you go wide. This is the one people get wrong. Three letters pays one point and seven pays eleven, so one seven beats four threes and it is not close. Sweeping the box for short words is the slowest way to lose.
Scored on points.
What the words mean
- Box:
- the sixteen letters, in a four by four square. That is the whole puzzle
- Tile:
- one letter in the box. Each one counts once per word, and then it is free again for the next word
- Touching:
- next to each other on any side or corner, which is how a word may travel through the box
- Points:
- what a word is worth, by length. Three letters 1, four 2, five 4, six 7, seven 11, eight or more 16
- Par:
- every word the solver can find in the box. Nobody finds them all, and the scoring knows that
