Timeline
Get the six events into the order they actually happened, earliest at the top. You do not need the years. You score for every one you put in the right place.
- Read the six events. They are in no particular order. There are no dates anywhere on the board, and no two of them happened within fifteen years of each other, so nothing here is a coin flip.
- Move each one up or down until earliest is at the top and latest is at the bottom.Move them as often as you like. Nothing counts until you send the column.
- Send it and read the ledger. You score for every event you put exactly where it belongs. Six out of six is perfect, and the result shows your column next to the right one so you can see what moved.
Scored on in the right place.
What the words mean
- In the right place:
- an event you put exactly where it belonged. That count is your whole score, and you can check it against the column on the screen, which is the point of scoring it that way
- Par:
- the best anybody could do, which here is all six in the right place. Every set has a perfect answer and somebody who knows the six dates will find it
- Earliest and latest:
- the two ends of the column. Earliest is at the top and latest at the bottom, and both ends are labelled so nobody has to guess which way it runs
- The set:
- the six events dealt for the day. They come from at least four different parts of the world and at least three different walks of life, so it is never six of the same thing
