- Read the border: a country and an arrow.North of Kenya means the country you would walk into if you left Kenya heading north. That is Ethiopia. Somalia borders Kenya too, but it is east, so it is the wrong answer to this question.

What the words mean
- The line:
- a land border, the kind you could walk across. Sea crossings are not borders here, so nothing over water is ever the answer
- The direction:
- which way the neighbour lies, to the nearest of eight compass points, measured between the middles of the two countries
- A round:
- one border and one answer. There are 5 in a day and your answer stands once you have given it
- Right:
- how many of the 5 you got. Five is a clean sweep, and it is meant to be reachable rather than lucky
- Disputed borders:
- borders two countries argue over, such as Kashmir or Western Sahara. None of them are in this game at all, so you will never be marked wrong on somebody else's quarrel
