Stopping early still scores, on the suspects you had read right.
Perjury
Say which suspects are lying and which are telling the truth, then name the culprit. Exactly one arrangement fits everything said, and you never have to guess.
- Read all eight statements before marking anything. They talk about each other, and some of them only talk about who is sitting beside them, so the seating is part of the puzzle. No single statement settles itself.
- Mark a suspect TRUE or LYING, and change your mind as often as you like.A liar lies about everything, so one false thing makes everything they say false. Nothing is locked in until you accuse somebody.
- Stuck? Suppose one of them is telling the truth and follow it round the table. If believing them ends in a contradiction, they were lying, and now you know something for certain. Every case here needs that move at least three times, and it never needs a guess.

- The culprit:
- the one who did it. Exactly one of the eight, and they may be truthful or lying
- Accuse:
- name the one you think did it. The case only closes once you have
